Secret Network does rock!
Secret Rocks on the other hand? Just a collection of 10,101 plain old rocks, right?
Thankfully, it is a lot more than that. As the title of this post reads, this is the "first" interactive NFT game in Secret Network. I put it in apostrophes because it is not really the first game. Secret Heroes was the first Secret NFT and interactive NFT game in-one. At the same time, Secret Heroes is more of a historical anecdote today, not exactly a hot Secret NFT creating FOMO like Redacted Rabbits. So, I'll label it as "first" with the risk of getting thrashed by people.

*Please note that the token used for mint is not $SCRT, it is the secret version $sSCRT. You can swap or convert to secretSCRT. Guides below on how to go about it. You will, however, need a small amount of $SCRT in our Keplr Wallet to cover for gas fees, as the transactions are paid using $SCRT. Mint = $sSCRT. Gas fees = $SCRT.

General Secret NFT mint guides:
10,101 randomly generated Secret Rocks, each with different traits and accessories. The process of acquiring Secret Rocks NFT is somewhat unorthodox, first you mint a so-called Secret Rock Attractoor, which essentially grants you an airdrop of the actual Secret Rock NFT. Something that probably has to do with some technical obstacle, or logistics. Either way, this is a legitimate project, so there is no need to worry about receiving your actual NFT or not. The plan is that once the whole supply is sold out, the Secret Stones are activated and airdropped 1:1 with each Secret Rock Attractoor.
The Attractors have four different utility traits, and each Attractoor will have three utilities. The secret metadata of each Attractoor store the ID number of the Secret Rock that will get airdropped. So, until the supply is minted out, you are stuck with some plain old rocks.
Once the mint is completed (10,101 minted), they'll start to rock.
As mentioned, there is an NFT game in the works. The name of the game is "Secret Rockets, Paper, Scissors". When googling this, I actually found this ancient post from 2019, outlining a game called Secret Rocks, Paper, Scissors, that outlines how a new application is utilizing secret contracts. So, it seems like this project has been brewing since 2019. Or, someone is refining it and bringing it back to life. Below you can see a teaser demo from Secret Rocks showing off some of the gameplay. As you can expect, this is a version of the classic rock, paper scissors game where:
It's unknown if Secret Rocks are bringing any additional features into the game which would turn the rules on its head (Secret metadata and traits 👀).
The game is only part of the project however, a community is expected to form which would take the shape of a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), which would be governed by the community using the future secret token $ROCK. Staking Secret Rocks (keeping them unlisted in your wallet) would earn the holder more $ROCK tokens.
When it comes to the metadata of Secret Rocks, the secret metadata will have a separate private image and details only known to the owner of the NFT.
Furthermore, there is a hint about future use cases of Attractors, "Attractoors might have more utility and use cases, which will be revealed gradually."
Secret Rocks utilize pixel art. There are 15 different "basic" rock types:
Each rock type has the following:
Additionally, the rocks are divided into rock, paper and scissors.
No, you will need the secret version of $SCRT - please convert to secretSCRT ($sSCRT) following this guide.
You can get it by creating and use Keplr Wallet, read guide here.
You need to use Keplr Wallet to mint Secret Rocks NFT.
The mint of Secret Rocks NFT is live right now and accessed from the Secret Rocks official website.
Unlimited, as long as the supply lasts.
You will be safe with around 0.25 $SCRT for gas, a good rule of thumb is to keep 1 $SCRT for gas. You don't want to be stranded anywhere along the way.
